Wenatchee Valley Visitors Bureau

wvcvb_logoThe Wenatchee Valley Visitors Bureau was formed to promote, market and sell the Wenatchee Valley as a destination for business and leisure travel including conventions, trade shows, corporate meetings, and tourist travel to maximize additional overnight visitors, visitor expenditures, state and local tax revenues, and job opportunities.

The WVVB provides an organized forum through which all tourism interests in the Wenatchee Valley can come together for a coordinated, focused tourism development program.

WenatcheeOutdoors.org

wenoutdoors_logoWenatcheeOutdoors.org could be dubbed the foolish folly of Doug Pauly, Bob Parlette, and Andy Dappen. In the winter of 2005, these three were drawn into a philosophical discussion. They asked each other how they could get more people connected to the outdoor world surrounding the Wenatchee Valley. How could they engage locals in the fun, physical health, and mental health derived from muscle-powered outdoor recreation? They asked how they could build community among the disenfranchised outdoor enthusiasts living and playing in Central Washington. They wanted to know how they could keep the unorganized group of local outdoor enthusiasts informed about issues affecting outdoor resources. And they asked how they could better coordinate these disconnected enthusiasts in local efforts to conserve special places that make Central Washington an extraordinary place to live.
